Hey all, this is pretty much a dead project as of now. Minecraft has gotten very boring lately and this requires an immense amount of time/money/skilled people. I don't think this project will be able to take off. If you want to check out what it was going to be, open the spoiler.

"Welp, as you can read by the title I have a side project called Alfheim. If you have seen the popular anime Sword Art Online, then you know where this is going. For those who don't this is a basic summary, Alfheim Online is a game that came after the devastating game called Sword Art Online. It was a VRMMORPG and by that a virtual reality RPG game with a load of players. It was a death game. The equipment used to play was called Nerv gear, and it is like a helmet to put on. You would then be unable to do anything in real life while your mind is pretty much transported to a game. All your thoughts, feelings are like the controller, and you feel like it is real. Once you got in the game, you were stuck. No logout button and if the helmet forcefully removes you would die due to a microwave charge sent to the brain. Don't think about unplugging it either, it has a battery and could kill you that way too. So what about SAO? Alfheim was like this but safer to the general players. Kirito, the main character, goes to Alfheim Online to look for Asuna, his love interest and other main character, who was last minute transported to Alfheim by an absolute a**-whole that shall not be named. Alfheim is the land of the fairies with multiple races, territories, and general MMORPG like things. Players had wings that could be controlled and since it was VR it felt real to them. It was addicting.
Why am I explaining this?
Well, I am trying to recreate this in a game mode. It will include all the different features and aspects that make Alfheim Online so fun in the SAO universe, minus the virtual reality. Rip
Though it will have all the races, world tree, territories, and all sorts of more amazing things.
Why do you need to know?
I would like anyone who would like to take a small survey that would greatly help this. It was as said, a side project but is quickly becoming more. Link

So the map we are basing our builds off the image found below.
I am working on the 3-D models and textures to make ours stand out. Each race can wield different types of swords, just like in the anime, and will be given a different and unique looking armor. The only problem right now is the modeling software I am using allows up to 32x32 so it isn't that detailed. If you know of something other than CubikStudio or would like to contribute that way, please message me.
The races each get their abilities. Here is a little snippet
We will also be retexturing the mobs and making them unique to the server. Here is a little snippet of that.
This was just a little more information for those who were asking.
Sorry if this doesn't have as much information as you or I would like. I don't want to reveal a lot of things to prevent copycats. More will be explained about the beta release.

- Salamander - Permanent strength one and fire magic (Temp Fire resistance or flame-ball the higher the rank)
- Spriggan - Permanent night vision and illusion magic (Temp for any enemy in a 15 block radius)
- Sylph - Permanent jump boost one and wind magic (Knocks back every enemy within eight blocks)
We will also be retexturing the mobs and making them unique to the server. Here is a little snippet of that.
- Snow Golem - Drops snowballs only
- Forest Golem (Replaces Iron Golem) - Drops Rusty Iron (Replaces Quartz)
- Witch - Drops blaze powder
