Allow all ranked members view whispers in the logs

I get that viewing archives is a thing for Ultimate. They are able to view every single message said in public chat for up to 7 days.

My suggestion is to allow all ranked members to view whispers between them and other people only and allow us to view all whispers far back as possible for logging purposes. This is because we shouldn't have to spend $5 a month in order to view our whispers in case we get scammed. Or even a one time thing for $5.

If a deal is being discussed via whispers only or was discussed via whispers a little bit then taken to Discord, person1 could scam person2 with the idea that they could get away with it if person2 does not record the conversation for logging purposes.

It may not be an issue now, but it could and there would be no way for a member to prove that discorduser1 is person1 unless person1 publicly wrote that their discord is discorduser1.

Or just do all your deals through private conversations, rather than the shoutbox? I don't feel that this is a necessary change when few users even perform deals like this - and they can easily just do their deals through DM's if its actually a problem for them.

That doesn't change the fact that it will still happen and regardless of who is at fault, I believe people would rather there be a way for someone to get evidence for this type of thing so the scammer is removed from the site rather than being able to stay and deceive people.

I see only one valid point- usually when staff ask for proof that user confirmed disc onsite, and proof was given in CB whisper, its difficult to prove that discord evidence was given. Happened to me once after I bought premium, luckily I knew he was scamming and he was a ban evader lol.

Generally you shouldn't be dealing with users through whispers for transactions for the exact reason you've explained. I don't know of any actual circumstances where what you're suggesting has happened, but if it does then there are ways for us to still view the logs if need be through our database so I think this isn't an issue.
