So there is currently a rule in place which prevents new members under 30 days from leaving reputation on a users profile, this prevents people from making alt accounts through let's say proxies and gaining lots of rep quickly and making an exit scam.

However, I have recently done multiple deals with new members; and because of the rule, I did not receive a +rep back. My proposition to this is to implement a rule which checks if the user has received reputation from a user that has repped them, allowing them to add to the reputation to the user they dealt with.

Sorry if this is in any way confusing, and I feel like I've repeated a lot of words many times, but oh well. Please leave your thoughts below on this.

How can we be certain that the receiver isn’t creating alts though? Besides, it impacts everyone and thus reputation is still equally distributed.

The best way to gain reputation is not to farm reputation (for those planning on doing that, asking for rep is against our rules and you might have bad rep in the community after we find out...) , but rather make it so that you don’t even need to tell people you’re reputable. You don’t need someone to tell you that the owner of Amazon is reputable and to be honest, if they started going around saying “trust us! We did this and that and this”, it would look bad and ruin their reputation because that’s ultimately scam behavior where people would try and rack up all the $ they can (but fail) and jump ship onto their sailboats.

New members are probably easier to abuse for rep than normal, especially the ones just now getting into the market. I once cared deeply about $0.50. Providing a delay let’s them understand how the market works some more.

a man still can create many accounts and then wait a month and pos rep himself day by day to make it not look suspecious. i think it should be reduced to a 2 or 1 week limit

If it's such a big deal, simply check when they registered. If they've registered less than a month ago, don't continue the deal if it's that important.

I know this isn't the same but, they could always leave a vouch on your profile if you are really that worry about it, that way you can still somewhat build a better rep in a way.

The month long wait is meant as a deterrent against possible scammers immediately coming back and being able to rebuild a new profile to scam even more.

As Jayson has said, this would create more issues than it would solve.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
