Allow New Members to use the rep system if they have x positive reputation

Hello!

I am pretty new to MCM, but I have a suggestion that could help improve things.

A friend of mine told me that Members could only give out reputation after being a user for three months or over. What you could do, is allow them to use the reputation system as soon as they have lets say 5 positive reputation from some other more loyal users.

You could also have a filter lets say, that would not allow users who have been using the website for under 3 months who have 5 positive rep, and 2 negative. The program would still allow users who have been using MCM for three months or more, regardless of their reputation.

This is just a suggestion. The numbers I give in the description are just examples - you could use any numbers you wanted instead of them. Adding This would probably be healthy for the site, because more users would get more reputation of different types, allowing buyers or sellers to have a more detailed understanding about who they are dealing with.

I disagree with this because time is the only non-abusable criteria we have.
Making it rep based would lead to farming and more low quality reputation that would later be removed by a staff member then cause a whole ton of drama again, and lead to more suggestion threads about how the rep system is crap, and blah blah blah blah blah.

A month isn't that long to be considered a part of the community.

Even though all of that, I still think my suggestion would be healthy for the site for the reasons above. I understand its not long to wait, but some people literally can't wait.

There is not one single person on this site that 'literally can't wait' a month.
That's absurd.

All of the security we get by solely using a non-abusable criteria will instantly be lost if we introduce an alternative abusable criteria for gaining access.

It seems like a good idea but really easily abusable, I would rather everyone have to wait a month
