Allow PayPal > MCM account upgrade exchanges

As most of us probably know by now, users can no longer use PayPal to purchase account upgrades. I am suggesting that mc-market allow people to do [paypal > mc-market upgrade] exchanges. It would certainly allow people without crypto or stripe to get into the shoutbox!

You’re correct, we would not allow this.

From our TOS:

All gifted purchases to other users may not be used as a form of currency or trade. These are gifts, not a currency or middleman for your transactions.

The reason for this is as follows:
If Joe, in your situation, charged back his PayPal payment to John, John would surely demand a refund on his Premium purchase. However, all upgrade purchases on MC-Market are final. John would not receive a refund. Joe, now banned, would continue to have Premium on his banned account.
MC-Market wants to avoid being placed in the middle of a transaction that we never agreed to be included in. We want to avoid liability in case of misconduct between the involved parties. We want to reduce the amount of chargebacks on our own accounts and ensure that if we can’t support our users in a particular way, we’re at least not putting them in a position where they might need to seek that support.

Gifting upgrades to fellow community members is always welcome though.
