Currently users are only allows to sell OG, semi OG, rank and cape accounts. For the most part I agree with this, and selling normal accounts would cause too many problems. However I believe users should also be able to sell TID accounts, since these can be worth a little, (~$10).

This would make it far easier for people who are sniping accounts to get hold of cheap TID accounts and could potentially make selling OG and Semi OG accounts safer because more of them will have the TID's.

I think TID accounts should be sold but not like this.

So my idea is the following you make a new section in the accounts called "TID Accounts" Like below

But in the TID accounts only trusted sellers may sell. So you make a requirement. 6 month old account, 15+ vouches. The way to be able to be a seller. You contact a staff member with the proof and they allow you to post.

Then it will reduce people coming on and just scamming for these TID accounts.

But then you ask. Reputable members just sell accounts with random TIDs? So heres the catch. When you get permission to become a seller each time you sell an account you have to email mojang and ask if this is the correct TID. Then when you sell it you show proof to the mod of this email and mojang saying yes. Then you put the tid in and upon purchase a pm from a bot sends the person who bought it the TID and details.

BTW this would need the Auction system to be implemented which is currently being developed as BeBosny has said so you could use the two in conjunction.

I like the idea of having prerequisites in order to post, but being forced to email Mojang is an awful idea.

I'm not crazy on the idea, but here's what I would do to allow this.

If a user wishes to sell a TID aaccount, you need to either email Mojang with confirmation of your TID so you can forward it to the person you're selling it to, or you need a copy of the original receipt which can be forwarded to the person you're selling it to. You shouldn't be allowed to sell it if you cannot provide legitimate email proof which can be sent. Screenshots should not be acceptable. This way you aren't just given a TID or shown a screenshot, but rather you can get valid proof.

In the event they send the TID to something other than what you purchased, you could always then report it. It'd be stupid to do that though, since you'd be giving it away completely.

Imo its the only way
Yeah they don't do that anymore to my knowledge, and if they did, they'd catch on fast and lock every account, we already know there's a mojang presence here.

I agree with everyone that is saying about the fact that the TID would have to be proven, however TID accounts are already been sold by people all the time. Just ones with an OG or Semi name. All the floors of people potentially selling fake TID's applies to accounts been sold now, especially semi OG names. Since having the TID raises the value of the account quite a bit.

Mojang locks accounts for being cracked, not sold. Asking for verification of a TID proves it was not cracked. Why would they lock it?

They've locked non cracked accounts before; true, they were isolated incidents, but this is essentially doing all the work for them Skionz

If they were going to lock accounts for being up for sale they would iterate through all the MCM threads here and the thousand of accounts listed for sale on my site. They could do it at any time. Doing it by the emails they get is an awful method even they should be able to figure that out.

The amount of scam reports there will be because someone TID the account back would be insane.

There are no statistics behind that. You're just taking a guess. All anyone has to do now is change their accounts name to something like "diamondings" and sell it as a semi OG.

Emails are spoofable aswell. And relying on Mojang isn't really a good idea considering they don't really like what we're doing. The reason why no other account sale has been implemented because it's not possible to create a verification system. With our current set of accounts we're selling, people are forced to login and that proves that they have some sort of access to the account they are selling. There's no proof to verify a TID.

No I know that. I don't think this should even be here. Just throwing out a small thought. :p
