allow /server/the advertising of mineplex servers

I can agree with ./server name-1 type advert.. but not normal servers. I don't care what anyone here says but that shit is annoying to see. "JOIN SHITTYSERVER.IP !!!"

Yeah, it's not like there's OG parties or meet ups going on every 5 seconds either. So you can't compare it to people advertising the thousands of servers out there.

I think that mineplex user server /server advertising should be fine because not many people do have OG parties or just hang out all that often. No regular servers tho.

I rather hate advertisements in shoutbox, in general. So I'd hate to see people competing to get the most shoutbox members on their mineplex server, but the shoutbox is for the community, and if the community wants to see these advertisements, I mean, hey, who's it hurting?
I wouldn't mind unrestricting mineplex servers just to see how it goes.

I disagree with the entire premise that the staff team didn't make the rules in place today, as several people in the CB said. If none of the staff who originally created the rules are even still here, why are they still just 'going along with them' even if they don't agree with them?

Why can't they get rid of rules that make don't sense, or maybe make all new rules form scratch?

I thought it was already allowed as it's not a server, just a command. People who know what the command is for already know what Mineplex is, meaning it isn't really advertising.

I think mentioning Mineplex/Hypixel should be allowed though. Pretty much everybody knows what they are already.

That wouldn't be advertising either honestly. I used to do that all the time.

Let's not forget that we are a Minecraft Market. We should be allowed to discuss Minecraft servers and gather on them.

Also, most of us here are server owners, and we come here to get stuff for our servers ie. Builds, Domains & Plugins. Server Owners are what keeps this forum what it is. Remove the no advertising of IPs in the Shoutbox, or just put a restriction on it like posting links.

It is connecting to a minecraft server but on mineplex's proxy server. Its not really a server as they belong to the same proxy

You're still advertising a server. I don't care how you want to look at it, it's a server. The command connects you to a server.
