Mojang has been locking many accounts lately through lockwaves, and even though MCM has implemented the OG/Semi OG account sections for Premium users and above, mojang can still easily bypass this barrier. My suggestion is to be able to block out certain characters of an OG or Semi OG account (ie: if the name is “Ghosted” you could list it as “Gh*sted)” MCM should still require to associate the account you want to sell to your profile. This has probably been suggested already but yeah idk. If users interested in the account do not know the IGN, then can PM the owner of the account. This will overall make account selling a bt more secure.

I didn't respond because I've already explained this more times than I can count, and I'd rather not explain it again to someone who would be willing to call people sad for not wasting their time in an argument with you. (Why we have reactions) But here you go:

The account in your association list needs to show the full name for identification purposes.
It's easy to pretend you have an OG or a Semi if you get one or more free letters.
The whole point is that it's clear what account you're selling, and that you are the one who owns it. That information NEEDS to be available to the people you're offering to; and if it's available to them, then it's available to the people you're trying to hide it from as well.
Starring the thread provides 0 added security to your account. None. Nothing.
Do you think Mojang employees are idiots? You cannot sell an account that is not associated with your profile, and you are not allowed to false advertise or post misleading content. If the content you are selling is clear to the people you are want to advertise to, it's clear to those you don't as well.
I see so many people posting things like:
"Account: Stra*ght
HINT: M'I' oh m'i', how sl'i'"

I'm not sure what they expect that's going to do, but I assure you, it's not fooling anyone.

Nor does this add security in google searches.
Mojang TOS enforcers are well aware of our site, they certainly won't be so stupid as to be googling extremely common words and memes hoping for the possibility of coming up with an account sales thread.

It's as simple as: If they want to lock your account, they are going to.
If you're not prepared for that result, then don't involve yourself in the account sales business, and most certainly not with accounts which you attained by shady means such as cracking, or public lists.

These asterisks add no security whatsoever, they mislead buyers and sellers alike into thinking that if they star out their account, their account is somehow more secure.

We do not want to promote the spreading of this false sense of security any longer, nor do we want our site to look like trash filled with asterisk spam everywhere by a bunch of uneducated children that don't even know what it does, but do it anyways because everyone else has been doing it.
There may be more secure methods of selling accounts made available at some point in the future, but starring names will never be it.
That stops here, and I'd rather not be forced to respond to threads like this again.
"They mislead buyers and sellers alike into thinking that if they star out their account, their account is somehow more secure".
This reason alone, is reason enough for me to reject this idea.

Fooling buyers and sellers into thinking that they’re at all safer with this practice, especially when we require Premium and charge for it, for people to buy and sell accounts on our website, is just not even an option for me.

Mojang isn’t run by brain dead children that will be fooled at something as simple as this. As Justis said, this is essentially just a way to make users feel safer than they actually are.

We're not going to be making any changes to our Minecraft account sales systems on the forum at this time.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
