Hello.
Staff are able to view edit history and since we cannot make new comments without putting us further in the queue and waiting even longer, it would be best to let us modify our comment to include further detail/information/evidence to our ticket.

Honestly, I’d be personally against it for the sole fact that we may miss noticing the ticket edit and its history (ignoring the clumsy interface for us to use).

Any alternations could confuse moderators on more complex tickets, such as ban appeals which are more information critical and could go on for pages and pages.

I agree. This will just cause confusion.

Sorry but y'all make us wait an endless amount of time so the least y'all could do is allow a modification thing since we'd have to wait a long time just to include more information and wait even longer for the assigned staff to get back to us on the updated information.

What do you mean 'ignoring the clumsy interface for us to use'? Y'all are aware of the edit history so just read it lol. If someone is abusing it, that's on them and they should be punished accordingly since that shouldn't ruin it for those who need to use it for its intent and purposes.

I feel like there are more pros for the community than cons for the staff. It makes it a hassle when you're trying to make a ticket for something then realizing you left stuff out and needing to modify but you can't modify it and have to make a new comment putting yourself further in the queue.

So instead of thinking of how it is solely for the staff, think of how it is for the community. In my opinion, there is absolutely no reason not to add this since it will prevent people putting themselves further in the queue just because they cannot modify their own comment.[DOUBLEPOST=1600903063][/DOUBLEPOST]

You know what also causes confusion? People wanting to know why it's taking months for a response only to find out they were putting themselves further in the queue by responding to their ticket adding additional information/evidence. I am sure there are people who add additional information/evidence not realizing that it's only putting themselves further in the queue.

Or when people know what is putting themselves further in the queue but there is currently nothing in place to prevent them from putting themselves further in the queue.

Instead of allowing people to edit their comments to add more information, maybe there should be a double post function like there is on the forum? Because, for sure, I think that adding information can be necessary especially if the information is only available a little while after a previous post, or you forgot something. It would allow you to add more information plus stop the ticket from being bumped when you do reply several times in a row, without the aforementioned pitfalls of being able to edit your own posts.

If that doesn't put them further in the queue, I agree with this alternative.

I don't see this being a necessary change to make to the site. If you have more information to provide, you can simply respond. Delays to responding to tickets is definitely a valid concerns for users to have (especially back when this suggestion was made), but the solution isn't custom developing something so niche and unnecessary.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
