If you actually knew Java, you'd see how pathetic Skripts are. This is coming from someone who did skripts for a while and thought they were cool, now I'm learning java.

let's have a plugin off. Scored based on time completed and efficiency. You use Java, I use script.

You can't write a plugin with Skript. Also, Skript is the least efficient and I doubt you would be able to even write benchmark code with it.

We, the Java-master-race use Java because Skript is for peasants.

"Doubt". That's because you don't know jack about Skript. While Java is better for making larger plugins such as mini games, Skript is lightweight and simple and has a large amount of possibilities in EXTREMELY less time and effort.

If your such a good coder, may I have the links to the games you've made? Oh, of course, Java is not at all ideal for making games. You learned it for minecraft? Seems like a waste of time.

I do enjoy minecraft, which is why I learned Skript. It would take me an extreme amount of time and energy to learn Java for Minecraft coding. That is why I learned Skript. I'm going to focus the extra time and energy on learning a language I can actually use for game development. My interest isn't computers anyway, I just enjoy Minecraft as a pastime.

I'm still surprised that so many 20-30 year olds play Minecraft. Maybe its because they enjoy flaming on people 5-10 years younger than them who are just trying to explore technology while their younger.

Is crashing and burning other people's posts with negative comments a last desperate attempt to gain more customers for your services? I don't know anymore.[DOUBLEPOST=1438643056,1438642998][/DOUBLEPOST]

1. Skript is not efficient. You probably don't understand how Skript works, but essentially it parses your file, and does whatever you tell it to; however, with a syntax as complex as Skript's I cannot imagine it being efficient at all.
2. I didn't learn Java for Minecraft. I'm not a skid.
3. We are trashing your thread, but Skript is fine as long as you don't want to pursue a future in computer science, or get hired for a fair pay.

A complex syntax? Skript is efficient because of how incredibly easy it is to use. As I said, its not good for complex mini games, but I have an entire prison server that works flawlessly using Skript. I also know many other developers who know Java and many other programming languages that trust and use Skript for their servers simply because of how easy, quick, and efficient it is for creating small but cool features for your server. Create an entire jar file, import all of bukkit, and then put it in your plugins folder and restart the server just for something as simple as this?:

on break:
if event-block is coal ore:
message "You just mined coal!"
add 1 to {coal.%player%}
if {coal.%player%} is greater than or equal to 100:
broadcast "%player% has just mined 100 coals!"
make console execute command "eco give %player% 500"
launch creeper firework colored blue at player with duration 3
play raw sound "random.pop" at player with pitch 5 volume 10
thrust the player upwards at speed 5
make player execute command "spawn"
give player 5 cookies
message "Good job :)"

Done and working in about a minute.

Skript is fine as long as you don't want to pursue a future in computer science, or get hired for a fair pay.

Your arguing with yourself here. Skript isn't fine. I was offering simple code just as I gave an example of above for really low prices. Yet my post is attacked, even though you said "Skript is fine." No it's not.

I wasn't talking to you. And I bet I'm better at Skript than you.
Lol. Who cares if you're better at Skript than somebody. Skript won't get you anywhere in life or in a forum for selling PLUGINS.

In my eyes, Skript is for lazy people that don't want to bother using Java. Coding Bukkit plugins in Java has far more features. It doesn't matter how fast you can code something, but how efficient it is and how easy it is to update.

What did my OLD build service have to do with anything can I ask?

Efficiently written, or efficiently executed? I think we are talking about two different things, but any decent developer would always sacrifice time for efficient code.

Contributing to this thread isn't going to get your anywhere in life either, bro. And I've noticed quite a while ago that this forum isn't going to get me anywhere.
