Intel had it for years, but AMD has taken the lead recently. Not only is the performance better, I also trust AMD more after Intel's countless security flaws lately. Though, don't take too much advise on this from here. Look at tests and reviews instead - it will give you a better idea. I myself recently made the switch to a 3900x and couldn't be happier with it.

Intel or AMD it's up to what you like or what you used before. I got Intel cause thats what I have always used.

Intel is several years behind AMD due to their chipsets. Intel also likes overpricing everything while AMD has always been economic. :>
