Not ever since crypto mining became a thing.
We talking about CPU's... Ryzen series has always been cheaper than Skylake in terms of performance

getting a new pc
AMD
1) Superior overall performance
2) Reliable and has an upgrade path (3rd gen can be updated to 4th gen CPU if you have the right mobo)
3) Does well in mid-range, budget, and high end builds.

Just choose AMD for whatever you’re doing. You should only choose Intel if the only thing you’re doing is gaming, even tho you may be having even greater performance in some modern games with AMD.

If you need pc for gaming then go with intel but if you need pc for editing and for other stuff instead of gaming then go with AMD

Intel's 10th gen high end CPUs look really good this release. 10/20 core and threads respectively with competitive performance to the 3950x in multi-threaded workloads. If it's between 3950x and 10900k, I'd choose 10900k for it's much superior gaming performance. Same goes for the lower end 10th gen products too. Intel basically reclaimed it's crown but it didn't get much attention. Prices are low for Intel, and even lower than AMD for some chips of the same performance.

TL;DR: Intel.

Ah yes, disagree with the post without actually fact checking or supplying evidence. Yes, AMD has an upgrade path and unlocked CPUs, but raw performance goes to Intel. Stop shilling to a company or back up your claims.
