do I know about it? no. that's the whole point. nobody needs to know except the few you actually "wronged" (seems a bit extreme in context, but still...) but at least he knows *privately* that you made an attempt to apologise with nothing to gain.

what are you gaining here? attention, controversy, positive rating increases. fantastic!

I *do* read what you say. I think you're missing what I'm saying. I just spent valuable time re-reading this thread, and I don't see the answer to that other than "I wronged everybody". I'm happy to admit I'm wrong and change my opinion, but in this scenario I don't see myself as being wrong in thinking that this is attention seeking.

I think that's a good way to start redeeming yourself - spending weeks to PM everyone you wronged. Plus, you'd mostly be copying and pasting the same message. Or, better yet, posting a status update! These things right here:

Here's another wild comparison. If I had a wife, and was cheating on her, I don't publish my apology in a newspaper. I go and say it to her, probably come back with a red cheek but that's part of 'redemption', huh. Yours is probably on the smaller scale with more people. I think saving a bus load of nuns, like I said before, would be a decent way to reserve your spot in heaven.
