hello fellow human reading this, i just started coming back on here again and saw a ton of accounts with anime profile pictures and names. To be honest, i never watched a anime in my life (criticize me all you want) yeah, naruto, dragon ball z none. (Maybe 30 minutes of Naruto episode 1 on netflix but thats it.) Most of the people i know are also anime fans and im not getting the "hype" or "popularity" of it. Also trying to get into it with any shows (no not trying to become a basement dweller with anime pop figures and posters and the anime pc backround) so yes, post all you want of this genre or pop culture that i know nothing about.

aight so i'm not no weeb
but i like a few older animes (and a newish one)
nisekoi (new one) has really nice animation, and i really like the characters a lot. it's basically a harem, except there's yakuza
yu yu hakusho is the best anime of all time 100%, great characters, super action-packed, good animation for when it came out, unique storyline, 11/10
ranma 1/2 is another harem but with a much more unique plot premise. has a lot more comedy too, but there's also nudity (not hentai-level but still) so be careful
prince of tennis is a dope manga but a garbage anime
one piece is also a dope manga but the anime is meh

I only watch what stands out from other anime. For example, Hayao Miyazaki's paintings can easily be equated with masterpieces of art. From the serial numbers looks great Attack on Titans, SAO (1 season), Barakamon (for soul). There are many other interesting titles, but if you are really a beginner, Death Note is great. Many who are not keen on Japanese culture speak well of it.
