Story: A boy named Yukiteru Amano (Yuki) meets a girl by the name of Yuno Gasai soon after discovering that his phone can give him insight into the upcoming future by certain intervals of 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc. (Also known as a Future Diary) Yuno soon starts to follow Yuki around after school one day and of course, Yuki starts to panic and gets scared. When he finally gets into an elevator thinking he's safe, a hand blocks the elevator from closing at the last moment and Yuno enters it with him. Yuki begins to panic thinking that he'll die or something and to finally get him to shutup, Yuno kisses Yuki. He begins to wonder how Yuno kept track of him all that time of running away from her after school. That's when Yuno reveals to him that she has a Future Diary of her own and it's feature is to keep tabs on Yuki at all time due to her undying love for him. She also explains to him that there are 10 other diary users besides themselves who are all in a fight to the death or last man standing. The winner of FFA will succeed Deus Ex Machina, the god of time and space, as the new god.
