To protect a seller's personal information, BuiltByBit should offer the seller the ability to make a payment to BuiltByBit (taxes and fees included) that BuiltByBit sends to the customer on behalf of the seller. This will also benefit transaction disputes because at this point, BuiltByBit's arbiters themselves can verify that the money was received and sent to the buyer.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

What happens if the payment to us is disputed/charged back? We'd have to take the hit for it.
This was something briefly mentioned by Mick here: https://builtbybit.com/threads/mc-market-credits-currency.629925/post-4692128

Beyond that, surely if personal information were to be exposed by sending a payment, it would've already been exposed by the original payment?
That is unless you're referring to Pro resource purchases through Tebex. In that case, there are currently limitations on refunding through Tebex which is perhaps why you're making this suggestion? Tebex has since said that partial refunds will be coming Q1 of this year, allowing us to lift these limitations.

You ban the seller in that case. Also, aren't purchases handled by Tebex.io? They'll take the hit, not you guys.

I'm not sure what this argument is. But I don't mind exposing my personal information to BBB; I don't want my personal information to fall in the hands of the customer.

Yep! Because if I have to manually refund, I don't fancy exposing my personal information to the customer.

Tebex has since said that partial refunds will be coming Q1 of this year allowing us to lift these limitations.
But until then, wouldn't it be an option to do refunds through BBB?

I can't see any way of doing that since Tebex isn't a payment provider like PayPal where you can send payments to anyone for any reason.
Any purchases through Tebex Checkout have to be for a product & the receiver has to have a Wallet already set up, which they then withdraw funds from.

I see. I can't wait until partial refunds come out then. Until then I'm setting up clear terms that the customer must agree to in regards to refunding that protect my privacy.
