Since verringer has resigned and Mick is the new owner could you possibly consider adding a "Dislike" rating so that user's upvotes dont get boosted on stupid posts (sarcasticly adding "funny"). A good reason to do this would be so that new users do not see the "funny" guy's ratings as positive ratings and potentially get scammed by an unlegitimate user.

I dislike this
Now, I will have a million dislikes.
(See, this is how it can be abused.)
People dislike something that's not dislikeable.

This can be easily monitored and you can simply report abuse and get their ratings taken away.[DOUBLEPOST=1442877536,1442877494][/DOUBLEPOST]This will also reduce a lot of shit posts

Mick would need quite a few people to monitor that stuff <.<

I feel like dislikes would be cool only if they were uncounted because it could get abused

I'm sure that there are more than a few staff members for a reason :p Not to put more work on the existing staff but I feel as if this is a good idea to prevent new users looking at upvotes as some sort of "rep" and trusting them.

I was thinking this just earlier today, people always reply with really "smart-ass" sarcastic posts or they reply just for the sake of replying and make you look like an idiot. But I don't see dislikes as a plausible answer. Maybe only trusted members an mod should be given the option to dislike? There's not many other options for this other than comforting people directly which would cause conflict but it could be in-forced as a rule in a way.[DOUBLEPOST=1442878111,1442877975][/DOUBLEPOST]Another option would be have the invisible dislikes like someone just suggested, if someone gets enough dislikes they would be given a warning, if they continued to get disliked they would be given a second warning and a mod would be informed. Then a mod would check out any posts they was disliked on and confront the user about their beheivour based on the circumstances.

Then on the third further action could be taken such as short bans, I would never say a player should be banned for long, the culprits for this kinda stuff would be active users for thee most part anyway. It would be bad to discourage people to use the site so it would have to be a very forgiving system, the warnings would do a lot.

If warnings were displayed on a users profile people would want to actively avoid getting them. That's all my thoughts and ideas, should be able to work with that ^^

Possibly it can be like a supreme feature so that not everyone has access to it and cannot be as easily abused.

I disagree with this, they're not going to be used for an actual disagree, look at people with the ratings are now.

They use "funny" as a disagree / hate. ( A majority of the time ).

Personally when i see a disagree rating, I just look at www.daegonner.com, the most toxic community I've ever seen.

Having them invisible with mods managing them, having people receive warnings and short 1-2 day bans if they keep getting them. That means people have to be consistent to get dislikes, if having people dislike every post is a problem it could be on a per-account basis where you dislike someone on their profile or something.
