Anti-Cheat Advice

Hello guys. I am currently working on a small server with a small budget and was thinking about using the open-source Janitor/Sloth and adding whatever fixes it needs by myself. What key features is Janitor/Sloth missing and what should I add/fix in order to have a decent anti-cheat? What would be a reasonable alternative to using these while still being optimized for PvP based servers? It will be a small server for my friends and maybe a few extra people that decide to get online and I want to stop hackers without paying $300+ for a custom anti-cheat.

What needs to be added to Sloth/Janitor for it to be good?

I dont think you will find a good non-leaked one. But if you want a good free anticheat either get NCP and edit the config or fode your own anticheat.[DOUBLEPOST=1497726229][/DOUBLEPOST]Ohh and all I can help you edit is Janitor PM me for more info.

I know how to edit Janitor, just don't know what needs to be added for it to be a solid anticheat.

Cant he just get normal NCP and purchase Reflex? It will cost him a bit less, and it will do much better with combat checks.

I'm always in favor of reflex - haven't purchased nor tested for a year now but worked well when I did test it and work with the author to resolve false positives - to be combined with ncp. I do include a patchwork plugin with two additional checks for combat, none of which support npc, which leads to the argument of using npcs for combat checks or not as npcs are very easy to bypass; there are several arguments on Spigot regarding this topic.

ncp's default values have a tendency of being loose and throw false positives constantly. So cheaper, perhaps, but accurate, not really as I'm sure even reflex still throws false positives occasionally and can be optimized through its configuration, I.e checking server and player latency prior to sending a notification (which I already do with ncp).
