PREVENT:
So we all know how annoying it is to have these sketchy members bidding on your post. You then check their "RECENT ACTIVITY" and you find out that they have bidded on like 20 other posts. There should be a rule where you can only bid a certain amount of times per day or sketchy members have to be approved by mods that they their funds can support their bids on many different posts. They should get banned if they violate any of those rules.

A lot of you will probably just say "don't deal with them". That is true, but you sometimes miss out on alot of deals, like I took my chances and sold an account to Oat and he turned out to be 100% legit.

Just please take this in to consideration, it would help prevent a lot of scams and scumbags just false bidding,

Rilifer :)

I don't see the point of this at all.

If a user is bidding on a bunch of things they may just want to buy all of them. We already warn users who back out of their bids anyways

Let's look at reality. A new user comes onto the market, 0 rep fresh account. He bids on your account including 20 different other ones... do you think he is actually serious about buying?

Doesn't really hurt to make sure he has proof of funds.[DOUBLEPOST=1502945271][/DOUBLEPOST]
As Mick said, this could just mean that a user wants to buy lots of things. I'm a new user and I'm considering asking one of my old friends for a loan. If I receive this loan I'm likely to bid on lots of threads because I know I won't win the bid on most of them.
First of all, most loan services requires some rep. Second of all, you cannot go around bidding on 20 different posts just because u think u won't win.

FisherGee 'I'm considering asking one of my old friends'
I never said they even had a clue what MCM is -- and would an IRL friend want to look at a number on it?
Okay well you could also said it was an irl friend b4 because this is on Mc market, also you still can't go around bidding on 20 different threads bc u think u won't win.

FisherGee well I mean I did say 'old friend'...

but I understand your other point. It's just tiring to constantly have your bids rejected without having a backup. Not to mention I know several other users that do it.
Yeah, I understand how it's hard to be a new user.

This is MC-Market
We can't exactley stop people bidding on multiple accounts just because they are new..
When I first came to McMarket I had a 2011 Cape + $50. I bid on multiple accounts as I wanted one; Usually people ignore new users so they just bid on something else.
Everyone should be equal; So if this was the case reputable people couldn't do this.
Your suggestion will never work.

What is the problem with just letting them bid, though? If you feel like you don't trust them, don't deal with them (add something like "i reserve the right to deny service to people I don't trust" to your thread).
If they win the bid and refuse to pay, they get a big fat warning, and that would also be a legit reason to leave negative reputation.
If they lose the bid to someone else, they just increased the price by a little bit.
If they retract their bid more than 24h before the end date of the bidding, you lose nothing. If someone's already bid something else, they'll just have to deal with paying for their original bid, and if the only other bid is slightly lower, you lost nothing, since it's as if they'd never placed that bid.

Also, banning for bidding on too much? Bit harsh, don't you think? That's like a big prison sentence for exceeding your credit card's limits...

All in all, this would send the wrong sort of message to legit new members, and it doesn't really seem needed. The most someone bidding too much can be called is "annoying" or "untrustworthy". Don't trust them, don't deal with them. period.

If you bid on tons of threads most will get rejected because they look sketch. Just incase you do win the bid on multiple thread that could get you suspended for a long time ( I think thats the punishment ). So only bid on a couple - Your old man sheepey ( your probably older than me )
