Hello!

I know of a simple way to avoid scamming here on MCM. Or at least, help with the problem.

Require every user who wants to sell an item to make a safety deposit. This can be withdrawn at anytime by the user when they're ready to close their shop.

What is this for? This is so that if a user were to try to scam someone MCM could easily refund the money to the person who lost it.

Great concept, but some people not be able to afford to pay for the deals there're taking in, this would require you to have $100 in safety deposit to sell your goods up to $100

People will always scam. It's an unfortunate part of our forums. This idea honestly makes no sense and looks as if it could promote scamming itself -1

The point is if the buyer/seller scam, the buyer/seller will get their safety deposit money from the person who scammed them

Like if the seller scams the buyer $50, the buyer gets their safety deposit money

Where does this deposit money come from exactly? If a scammer gets the money I doubt he'll ever give it back.

Did you read the OPs quote? You as a seller/buyer have to deposit into mc market's safety deposit that's as large as the transaction your doing, for the buyer and seller to be insured. Because if either scams, the victim can claim their safety deposit (only if they both have the required amount to be insured for the transaction) if they both don't have enough to cover for the transaction, they are not insured with their safety deposits

There was a suggestion on having all transactions go through goods and services. It was widely despised and it never saw the light of day. Similar to that suggestion people don't like to be forced to do things with their money.[DOUBLEPOST=1458499446][/DOUBLEPOST]I wouldn't put my money in a Mc-Market safety deposit box because it sounds discouraging enough to put my money where any staff member/user could get their hands on it and abuse it. I'll keep my money in my Paypal account and let the chargeback feature be my insurance.

imagine this, you have $25 in your mc market safety acc. The buyer and the seller both have this requirement so this transaction "insured" if one of them were to scam, the victim claims their safety money

If you don't trust mc-market, then why did you donate here and gifted someone a rank as well

I did giveaways, I also benefit from purchasing something from Mc-Market. Just throwing money at Mc-Market and hoping they can keep it safe doesn't sound so good. Especially since the staff can't make a decision without inciting a wave of drama.
