Didn’t really know which forum to post this in so I’m posting it here.

I’m trying to figure out a good way to test out some open source DDoS protection software I found on a mock network I’ll be setting up.

Now, I don’t want to buy blackhat software, but I still need to be able to test my protection somehow on a realistic attack.

Then again, I don’t want to pay thousands of dollars for a security team to investigate my network.

Any good way to legally test my network on my own?

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

My personal best way of testing ddos protection is to visit reddit and posting your IP. It works well and you’ll see great testing results.

Haha, yeah if I want my server to be taken entirely offline.

Like you said, its a mock network. Get a cheap VPS or something, load a VPN on it, get a skid mad and they'll start booting it from their fake "mafia darknet DNS proxy server web game-winner Xbox PSN hitter 9000". izipizi

You can just use a free booting website, like stressthem.to
A lot of "DDoS" attacks are just people using online booters (This is why you need to hide your backend IP).

(Sorry mc-market staff if i violated some sort of rule by posting a link to a booter!)
