API Access for pro resource authors

Since PayPal has been removed as a payment option and Tebex has no API whatsoever I think that the "Ultimate API" should be exposed to pro resource authors (or at least the resource endpoints should be) without requiring a $4/month subscription. BBB is already taking a 9.99% commission, so authors shouldn't be expected to pay more for access to basic features such as the ability to create custom automations when someone has purchased a resource.

Either that, or let people voluntarily go back to non-pro and utilize the already working PayPal system.

Is this ever going to be considered? Seems rather ridiculous this hasn’t been implemented yet, it should literally just require updating endpoint permissions, unless I’m missing something.

Maybe BBB really just wants to milk us creators dry for that juicy $4/month on top of the 9.99%

I’m personally never migrating any of my “legacy” resources until this happens.

The reason the API is reserved for Ultimate is to give people the benefits of Ultimate. Besides, $4 a month is quite low for all the perks Ultimate gives you.

I think you’re missing the point, if I’m paying a 9.99% fee shouldn’t that include something as basic as API access? Otherwise the fee I’m paying for doesn’t contribute to any features I care about.

Being a creator myself, the 9.9% fee is not really noticeable and for all the features found here: https://builtbybit.com/threads/introducing-pro-resources.713374/ It is quite good. Take a look at that post.

We will however always take a look at all suggestions given to us via the suggestions forum.

Yeah I’ve had discussions about the “features” on numerous occasions, even with Mick himself. The value proposition is honestly quite poor for my use case. Not only do I lose the 9.99% but it also breaks all of my existing PayPal integrations and automations as the the Tebex API is non-existent, and I’m not paying $4/month for an ultimate upgrade where I only care about the API access.
