Appeal for two forbidden products/services (Nitro/Boost)

This is an appeal for Discord Boost and Discord Nitro.

In the case of Discord Nitro: There is now a legitimate method to get nitro for as low as 85 cents. I will forward this method to staff if they want to test it out.

In the case of Server Boost: Everyone already know the method for this one, and it's generating promotion nitro boost from Discord partners and boosting them with it, This process isn't really a "bad hat" as it's just creating a few accounts and boosting it with them.

The issue is you wouldn't know if there fake boosts, how would you prove it?
And, selling nitro, can also be faked, and again how could you prove it wasn't?

There's only one method to get server boost, there is no "fake" way.

Discord nitro can be proven by using the method, the method isn't gifting nitro (YOU CANNOT GIFT NITRO W/ THIS METHOD), it's an entirely different process.

Personally, I feel like that nitro and boosting services shouldn't be reallowed as I feel like that soon or a later discord is going to notice this forum and is going to put pressure on MC-Market to shut the trading down.

Discord can't even handle their own system right, Their trust and safety is a joke, maybe in like 10 years once Tencent completely owns Discord they'll do something, But I don't see this being a problem for a least another 10 to 15 years

That’s not true. Prior to MCMs ban I had a staff member contact me to show my method to confirm I was obtaining them legally. I showed them proof and what I was doing and then they dropped it. So the system for this was already in place before the ban.

This is the main reason why Mick is going to deny this (again). On the last thread, Mick stated that he would need written proof from discord that it is allowed, even if it’s obtained legally. Considering that it is not encouraged by them, it ends the discussion. Though the chances of discord coming after MCM is small, there still is that hassle. But what’s most is that there is almost no upside to Mick as no ads get sold for that, or if there is any it’s for super cheap. So considering that Mick makes no money and there is a possible issue, it makes no sense to add it back (even though it can be obtained legally)

I mean there is a lot of staff duties that I bet people don’t like doing but realize need to be done to keep things going. I get the pain and it could be a justified reason, but if that’s the case it sure hasn’t been very transparent

It would essentially require a whole new role. I agree it'd most likely be way more hassle then it's worth long term.

It would be beneficial in the long term because the people who come here for Nitro may also look around and some may even decide to signup and join this forum.

The problem with that logic though is that the forum is driving views to the seller, which only ads value if it helps sell ads. If it were something that was gaining traffic on goggle when you look up discounted nitro or something, then your point of adding value through new users makes sense, but to my understanding that’s not the case.
