You'd think that the company that used to be famous for their spot on and innovative interaction design would be capable of designing a non-confusing control center.

context: I get interaction design courses as part of my game design program, and one of the first things we were told about is that the one thing that really set apple's OS apart in the early stages of graphic interface (and to a lesser extent physical interface) was the intuitive and unique way their buttons and other interactions worked. That interaction and interface design remained one of their key selling features for most of their lifetime. If you're a total computer noob (lived-in-a-cave type), it was usually easier to become comfortable with an Apple OS than it is with Windows.
Now they seem to have abandoned that for a generic 'designer' look. Like furniture that's meant to look cool instead of being comfortable.
well, they still have mobility and battery life, I guess.

We all need to keep an open mind that things could change quite a bit before GM (public release) goes live in fall. *crosses fingers*

I’ve been using the IOS 11 beta download since it’s release last night and I can’t say that its had much of an affect on me. A lot of the new features are very technical and I don’t see myself really using them. The control center is kinda confusing but I like that you can add things into it. My battery life has changed quite a bit though. It tends to die faster now but charge significantly faster. I’m sure a new build OG the beta will be released in the coming days or weeks that will fix all the bugs which would be great.

They are announcing the new control center like it is a new feature, but imo it just makes it more complicated. Apple needs to stop changing stuff too quickly.
