I am seeking for advice to see if this seems okay?
as anyone can fake idenity these days to get something that they want.

Notice:

If successful on application at AristoisPvP you will be
required to sign a NDA We will require you to show proof
of documentation such as passport or any other documents.

(When shown: we do not store any information)
- just need to see proof of documentation. "
why do we ask for this? because anyone can fake identity.

Well I'd like to say that Minecraft is a game, asking for personal documents is way too much. I mean unless your investing bunch of money. They say that they don't store the documents, but how do you really know? You could get possibly blackmailed afterwards?

I will be investing a lot of money into this server. I totally understand what you mean.
I will be doing a screen share with them to prove to them that i will be deleting it permanently.

yeah but, its a passport. Hypixel is a big server, with hundreds of thousands of dollars invested into it, but I don't see them asking for a passport?

Tbh passport picture is easy to fake if you know how to edit pictures

I would not give out my passport to a stranger on the internet (except for very special occasions). Honestly, I disagree that it is professional. Sure, for certain things, having proper identification is good (or even essential), but this is a block game with many, many shady server owners. Blackmailing has happened. For most servers, I would not even want to give my full name... How can I be sure that you are an exception?

I can understand an nda agreement even though it won’t do much without costing yourself a lot to enforce it. But wanting people to show you their passport? That’s pathetic. I mean are you going to show them yours? Doubt it.

Ok this thread made me laugh. You're asking for people to send you pictures of their passport, which seems like it may be used in some sort of scam/identity theft. 2nd since no one will show you their passports, and most people who staff nowadays are under 18, an NDA will do nothing to benefit you

I would have to agree with the others signing an NDA would be quite pointless in the case of you running a server on a game. I don't think anyone here would be comfortable nor lack the knowledge to even think about showing you their passports or other forms of identification.

I do not support this system whatsoever.
