I'll try to keep this as short and sweet as possible.

Our current designer has been getting busier and busier on personal projects, so we're looking to transition to a new designer. We have a very long list of projects and pay competitively for work.

Unfortunately finding a new designer has been tougher than expected. We're specifically looking for someone who understands branding and will help us further advance our brand. We have resorted to a "show us what you can do" application process.

To apply:

You will be re-designing a page on our web site to match updated styling. The design must use our existing fonts/colors. You are more than welcome to add your own flare, but it must blend perfectly with the updated design as we are currently not looking for a design change, but simply updating a few older pages on the existing site that were not re-designed.

Basically looking for a sleek look to the DDoS page that provides most of the same information. The current page was not originally designed to be a DDoS page, so the layout can change. Please remember that the fonts/colors/style must be 100% consistent with the two pages listed above.

I can provide PSDs of the updated styling so you can use them to build the DDoS page. Please e-mail [email protected] for a copy of the PSD.

Once you have a mockup, please e-mail an image of it to [email protected] along with a rate on a per-page basis. Looking for someone that can impress and further advance our brand with modern visuals and ideas. Please note we will NOT use your design without paying you first.

Future opportunities:

If we find a designer that we are impressed with, it will be a long term relationship with design work for the following projects:
-Main Site
-Internal Panel Redesign
-Banners
-Promo Material

That isn't what I asked for, please read the first post in its entirety to apply. This is an application process for a designer that we plan on using long term for a series of projects. Currently not interested in breaking out between multiple designers.

Our designer is currently very backed up with other projects, so we're very behind on a few things. Looking for someone to replace her and she'll be assisting with a lot of the vetting internally.

I'd like to clarify one thing, by a 'designer' do you mean a website developer or a graphic designer? I would like to let you know that I'm in contact with a professional graphic designer with 10 years experience (thirty years experience in (physical) drawing - a creative mind); they specialize in the field of graphic design (logo, banner, promotional work, leaflet, etc.) and had previously been a magazine designer for a company.

I am aware of the fact they go hand-in-hand in today's world, I was however trying to point out that they specialize in that field and does not do any web-development. In this case, what they can do is create an image design of the DDoS page you are looking for and provide it, but cannot actually create it (via code) as they aren't experienced in that field.

There's no coding required, this is strictly design work. I should have mentioned that in the OP.

They have to understand web design standards though and how to properly design for web so that it can be sliced correctly.
