Apply For Staff On Forums!

I make a suggestion, to that this forum needs more staff. So i suggest a tab on the website or at least a forum category, in which if you click on it will take you to a page where you need to fill out a resume type thing. If it was a forum layout here are some examples.

Im pretty sure they go by how active you are and if you help around the community...

True, but i am suggesting in which a forum where they provide a template and you basically fill out a resume/form and than they either accept/deny you. They would also look at how much you help around and how active you are.

This will never work here because people will purposely act as nice and professional as possible on the form to get a rank. Unlike those large minecraft servers you listed, our community is pretty close together and most of the active users and top posters know each other. We can easily see who would be a good potential candidate by looking at their involvement and how they treat others on a daily basis. Since we rarely need new staff members, us handpicking them is a much better way to do it.

you do realize that most 'staff applications' are not real right? most owners just put it there to shut up all the kids asking. when they apply they think they have a chance but in reality none of them ever did. any decent server owner handpicks his staff personally after watching how members speak to each other, how helpful they are, how nice and polite they are, if they can keep a cool head under pressure etc. 9/10 times the staff who are picked are not even looking to be staff they are just a nice person and the owner knows they can do the job.

So to reiterate, staff applications are just owners giving the kids a lollypop to suck on to shut them up and keep them busy so we can actually get back to work. Staff are handpicked by the owner or admin after a group staff discussion. And i would bet the same thing happens here

As much as we would all like this, it's NEVER going to happen. The owners of the site won't do it. I would like to see it but it's not going to happen.

I prefer people who are hand-picked than staff applicaions. Overall the staff applicaions would get a lot of trash and nothing but negativity towards that player. People could easily abuse the application system and also act who they're not. Hand-picked staff is much better as they see how the player acts and works like and in most cases we get better staff members on thr forums.

Overall, I prefer fewer staff that are trustworthy and good than a load of staff who put on an act and may not be as trustworthy.
