Hello,
I was wondering how much it would cost to get a antivirus made, it would be hard to explain everything right here, however the antivirus itself will only have about 2 options, the hard thing is that it has to have a license that can be checked online.

This is a vague explanation but at what price would i be looking?

Antivirus programs are ofte complicated and made by large teams.
These programs don't just work off of some secret sauce so the hard part is you need to constantly update the program with definitions of new exploits etc. This is something that would cost alot to just maintain.

But assuming that the hard part is the licensing system then it would probably be under $100.

Anti-Viruses are actually very easy to accomplish in Visual Studio using C#. I agree though, the hardest part is the licensing.

Thanks you both, how much would it cost without licensing? Just an .exe program that scans for viruses then gives you the option to upload the results to a .txt file or/and delete the threads.

Not at all, the hardest part in your usual antivirus is NOT the licensing but rather the constant need of new updates when new exploits and viruses drop.

The thing about Visual Studio is that it will have you achieve a great visual look to your programs, but there is a lot of people who just make non-functional programs with it (Not saying you are one of them ofc.).

Liscensing wouldn't remove much, probably around $80 for the program.
If you are looking to keep it up to date you would mainly need to hire people to constantly update it along with how viruses evolve.
