Approximately how much do you make from Google AdSense per click/visit?

Yeah, I was thinking of just making a little website and hook in the Google AdSense API to earn some side cents/cash, but not sure how many page visits/views or clicks are needed to even make money. Thanks.

Also, is there any other good alternatives that don't require information such as where you live? I don't mind giving it to google as they're a trustworthy source, but yeah.
