Server looking great, may I ask what kind of server this will be? factions, minigame, hcf etc.
Of course, this is a custom minigame server. We are creating minigames that people have never seen before.

5 contracted hours a week is virtually nothing? I have clients that have me for up to 40 hours a week.

Will there be lots of developers working on this together? Because someone spending 5 hours a week on a mini game will most likely take you several months to complete, I would at least boost it to ten.

Also note that if it's a network are you developing a framework for it? So that other mini games can use a common API? Or are you just jumping in to making several mini games straight away?

5 hours is the absolute minimum you can contribute a week, I would love for someone to come and dedicate 40 hours like you are doing for your multiple clients that's a lot of hours weekly and I understand that most developers have real full-time jobs and this is just a side job. I will take raising it to 10 hours a week into consideration as I want this done sooner than later.

*Also we are going to have a framework, we are not just going to jump into making minigames. It's actually a very organized project

Understandable.

I'd just note, if you're hiring people hourly, then make them take a java test, there's not a lot of proper programmers on this site and then majority of them will not have the first clue on object oriented programming.
Yeah, after talking to my sr.dev I won't be looking to recruit from here anymore for a few reasons. One being what you said that most have no clue what they are doing, and two that most people here charge too much for developing such simple things.

Go Spigot, most people are working at around $15/hour though if they're decent, my price is higher than that, if you want proper quality invest in two developers at a higher price, you will get a shit load more done, with a lot more quality in both code and performance, and they will most likely be able to use things such as version control like you've asked.

Also note there is no such thing as "too much" when it comes to programming, you get what you pay for in most cases, just got to find what's right for you and that can take a while in this community, be patient and don't take them (the programmers) for granted ;)

Good luck :)
Well, I get what you mean about quality and paying for what I get but my Sr.dev is a developer in for a company is south London. He is the one that is telling me paying $20/hr for coding minecraft is a bit much. I think he is going to look for developers, but I have talked to a very good developer on here that you are friends with I believe and I was interested in hiring both of you to work on this but like I said after talking to my other guy he told me not too so I am in a pickle right now. I was going to remove this thread soon.
