Hey!
I've seen a lot of posts about hosting in the last months on here and a few friends started hosting companies too. But I was wondering: Is it actually that profitable? Bc, there's no other reason to start a hosting company besides money. It's different than, let's say mc servers. It's mainly meant to make money, right? Or are there some people out there that do hosting companies as a "passion"

They are profitable but you just gotta provide hosting for multiple games, not just minecraft, else they can be reaaaaally profitable

It all comes down to how much time, and effort you want to put into it. I have seen most companies shut down within a month because they didn't have enough funds to afford the next months rent for the server, and licensing. The first year is going to be rough, and usually the 2nd year it'll pick up.

Well, You need to Aim for a Return.
Let's say it Costs $20 per month, And you need to think about how to get that $20 back from your SERVER.
Also, you need to maintain your loyal player.
