Are Java only servers still viable?

I am in quite the predicament. I just found out that model engine/items adder mobs and bedrock players do not mix well together. This is a large hit for me as this is what I was basing my server on. I've been told by multiple people that bedrock support is required to be successful in the MC market and that pure java servers are extemely difficult to market but part of me feels like its going to result in me making a very bland server rather than the exciting highly custom java server that I wanted to make. Basically yes my potential player audience would be smaller but I would have more unique features to stand out to the java players. I also considered having java only areas of the server but then that would make the bedrock players feel left out. Any advice or thoughts on this issue? I could use some more opinions.

Yes, that's true, since Java Resource Pack doesn't support Bedrock too, so we have to use Both Supported Resource Packs.
I hope someone makes a tutorial about this.
Maybe you can Hire someone who can do this in Model Engine Discord ?
