Are Minecraft Servers Still Alive?

I've been wondering, since I want to create a Mcmmo Factions server you know, classic kits old pot pvp nothing complicated. But, is it worth the time? I've left the mc community and just wanna ask how are servers doing nowadays.

Well, I had the idea that regular factions was something original. Nowadays I see servers that are mainly hcf,practice or hcf kits. I see just comp pvp based servers. I wanna create something thats fun and relaxing.

(but really, get a good node or shared hosting and crank up the plugins. The more features, the better. Make them custom, hire a dev, etc..)

Despite Minecraft being lowered on popularity the game is still being played by 10 yos. I believe in the future Minecraft will come back on popularity like it used to in the good old days
