depends who they are, me for example I would not go first for anybody if they have lower rep then me, and the problem with starting on this site is that people with close to no rep will also refuse to go first

Depends on the amount of the deal and your rep vs their rep.

For example, i wouldn't go 1st in a 100$ deal to someone with 3 rep

I'm usually perfectly willing to go first if there's proof of ownership, lack of reputation and its not a lot of money (<$20 or so).
Other than that, no. Each time I went first above that amount, I got scammed.
