Are sponsored slots worth it?

I was curious to know, are purchasing sponsored slots on websites like minecraftservers.org or minecraft-server-list or whatever sites worth it?
I know for minecraftservers it's about $1500 for like slot 5. The #1 server called BlockHero spent about $9000 for 1 month and their server went from 0 PB to like 200-250. But I'm unsure if it's because of this sponsored slot or other methods.

Just wanna know if anyone has ever purchased a sponsored slot and is it worth the value.

Well I'm sure you know ROI means return on investment.. So when using the word ROI you are speaking on getting your money back from the slot cost.
Obviously players aren't money. You don't invest players. You don't buy players.... In many cases, more players ≠ more money. Hope this helped!
