My suggestion is to make no warning points permanent, as it will follow you for the rest of your career on the site, for something simple yet ignorant that you did before you knew the rules well enough.
It’s not like other people can see them anyway. So doesn’t really affect you, what’s done is done. But i would like to see a suggestion where you can appeal these instead.

I agree.
All though no one can see them publicly, but I fear that if I were to get warned for other stuff, having that on my history can give me a faster or worse punishment.

I assume a lot of people will tell you to take responsibility for your actions, though it really depends on what you did to get those warning points.
I agree certain things should be given temporary warning points rather than you getting stuck with it for the rest of your life.

No one has the time to go through the whole rule list and memorize each and every one of them, especially when there are rules that make no sense at all.

Rules that are literally common sense should be given permanent warning points / suspension / ban, such as toxicity, abusing, impersonating, scamming and so on.
Things like "advertising without waiting 20 minutes between each advertisiment in shoutbox" should not be permanent, and that's simply for the fact people don't do those things on purpose.

I myself received 5 warning points 2 and a half years ago when I was sarcastically offering my minecraft account for sale, back when it was forbidden, from an ignorant staff member who well knew I wasn't going to sell the account.
Those things should have an expiry date because staff members may be wrong and you shouldn't carry their mistakes for the rest of your stay here.

People who need to get suspended WILL get suspended as they will break enough rules before any warning points will be expired, and those who are good people and made a mistake once in a while shouldn't get suspended for something tiny they did 2 years ago.

Yes please, these little things I did wrong as a newbie on MCM should not have to stick with me for my entire career on here.
Only serious warnings (Leaking personal info, threats, advertising) should be permanent

I still think this is a relevant suggestion, and should be at least considered. Looking for more opinions.

Right! Like I was selling a money making method because I had no idea it was allowed.

I would've happily taken it down but I guess thats not good enough lol hit with a warning point and suspension.

I mean if you're alright with decade-long expiry periods I guess the staff team might be willing to accommodate.
When it comes to undeserved warning points, always appeal. It might be a staff member was having a bad day, or overreacted, etc etc.
If unsuccessful at first, wait a few weeks and appeal again but this time ask for another staff member to review your case.
If that doesn't work, well, ouch.

I tried to appeal and the resolver was the same guy who gave me the warning points. Once I saw he got demoted I immediately went to see if those points could be taken down, and m6 said it's too late now.

That's something I don't really understand. Why is there suddenly a deadline on warning appeals? I don't remember there being such a thing back when I was mod. A cooldown between appeals would be understandable, otherwise they'd get a new appeal for the same case every week, but if the warnings are permanent there should not be a final deadline. Just increase the appeal cooldown every time it gets denied or something.
