Hey Everyone,

I'm looking into getting into Development/Coding as a second job, like my 50% other half.

However I don't know where to start, where to learn, where's best to learn from, What's best, useful and profitable, I was wondering if someone experienced here could give me some advice and answers.

Thanks!

Well what kind of development do you want to do? (e.g. Web Development, App Development)

Preferably, you'd want to decide what you'd like to do, software/app development, or web development?

As for which one you could make the most profit with, it's software/app development however, note this is not something you can do in 1 month, even 2. It may take multiple months of practice, failures and experiences to be able to reach a point where you're able to release borderline flawless products for your clients.

Where to start? First figure out what you'd like to do and then pick a language. For example, if you want to do software/app development and you like minecraft, then most likely start with java, C# or if you like game hacking, C++.

If you want web development, try learning html, css, js and node.js.

Create projects and get better, eventually you'll have enough projects to show to actually start getting clients and go somewhere, though its not easy.

I personally started from youtube videos, some people may not agree with but honestly from where to learn it's really up to how YOU best learn as a person. Do you learn best from a 1 on 1 session? Then get a teacher. Do you best learn from reading? Get books. Do you learn best from examples and visuals? Watch a youtube video

Once you understand the language and the inner workings of it, you'll be able to know what practices are bad and what practices are good, so don't stress about that too much.
