What I mean by this:
So, a lot of people that post plugins on Spigot have a custom Discord bot that allows their users that bought their plugin to be able to verify themselves on their Discord. This grants them a role to be able to get the support and the correct channels. Like Jayson said: This could be an API for anyone to use to make it better.

Why should this be added?
I think that this should be added as this gives a way to plugin sellers or config sellers to have a extra sense of support to their users. This also allows players to not do it themselves on the Discord.

What do you think?

Currently, you can set up a conversation-based system where you accept incoming conversations from MCM users, and they have to send the code. You can read them via email, which doesn't break MCM's no-bot-thingo rules.

Instead of making a bot just for discord in discord, I think it would be better in the release of an API. Then people could customize it however they wish.

I completely agree. An API could also be handy for e.g. An update gets released on one of my plugins and I can auto message my discord that it did.

Isn't an API already going to be released eventually though?
Think there was for resources. Didn't know if there was going to be one for anything else.

As others have said, we will be adding an API for Ultimate users in the (distant) future which should be able to solve this problem. For now, I'd rather we didn't encourage people to deal off-site anymore than we already do. It's always crucial to confirm who you're dealing with on-site before transacting with them if there is any doubt that they are who they say they are.
