Have it so it automatically checks the "Watch Thread" button in any thread you make in the Scam Report / Support Request category.

For scam reports it keeps users notified of what is happening and makes the user possibly more active without having to be mentioned for their response and so they can see when the other person replies.

For support requests so you know when a moderator replies to the thread so you can respond back. If they don't mention you, you may be waiting weeks and forget about it (unless you don't, you check on it later).
Just quickens up the process, no?

And of course you can uncheck the box.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Do you have "Automatically watch threads you create" checked?
If so, you should already be getting alerts for threads you create in these sections.
No, I don't really want them for all of them I create unless if it's an important thread.

Just scam reports and support requests which defaults for everyone unless they toggle otherwise.

The alert system is buggy and only alerts me half the time for threads I create. I've got that enabled.
You won't receive an alert for a thread you've already received an alert for unless you've read the message you were last alerted for.
If you ignore the alert, or have not gotten on to read the message you were alerted about, you will not continue to receive alerts for that thread until it has been read.
This is to prevent our users from being spammed with alerts for pages of responses to a thread that they only need one alert to notify them to go read. The same is true for reactions.

It happens to me usually on threads I create, when I receive my first response. In most cases, the thread has been marked as read and the alert still doesn't go through. For example: https://www.mc-market.org/threads/418861/ When I received Swicy's response, I did not get an alert, even though the thread had been marked as read.

I've never seen this occur nor heard of it being reported.
If you are able to reproduce the issue, please ensure it gets reported in its own bug report.

It may not just be a MCM issue, as I use other Xenforo forums where this also occurs. I can't really replicate it, as I'd need another account to comment on my own post, but if it happens again I can make a report.

Theres no point the staff wont read them either way lmao
My support request was answered within the first day.

Scam reports have a backlog hence people will forget about it and then the staff has to ping the other party to get responses, etc.
