Those saying this is not relevant to MCM: that's why there's no scam report, he's already banned.
BUT, he still had a customer base, like most higher reputation people on this forum.

Warning all of his old customers and potential ones that he is now scamming is still a valuable contribution to the community, like or not.

Often PayPal will side with the buyer (whoever is sending the money). That's why charge backs are dangerous for anyone if you don't have the right legalities in place.

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything in this situation, but shouldn't you have crossed out his name o_O I mean, we just had like 3 people banned for DOXing.

Again, just stating something, not trying to be stupid

He has his name posted some places. Even including PayPal. I'm not exposing his address + IP or anything. I would hate to do that. Could I have a mod verify if this post is ok or not?

They took his side :c . So I filed an appeal and there reviewing it again.
Dude you could literally win it, call paypal right now and talk to them, once he put a charge on me I called paypal and within the next 15mins of the call they said I won the case since I am the Buyer since I have already sent him the full loan.

PayPal will always side with the buyer since it's their money. More often than not, the buyer will win against the seller. ESPECIALLY for electronic goods.

AvsterBone wasn't the buyer, he gave loans out and if they were complete and you show a tos to Paypal they will take your side cause you have sent the money back.

You stated you were the buyer. PayPal will not recognize your TOS legal gibberish as a valid legal document.

It really does suck that he has decided to do this, however, 95% of the time you will lose the chargeback against him since it clearly states in PayPal's User Agreement that you are only eligible for seller protection if the item you have 'purchased' is a physical good. The PayPal 'Seller Protection' is basically the opposing force of a chargeback, and you can pretty much not fight it without this 'protection'. In the eyes of PayPal you are the seller and he would be the buyer, resulting in you not being eligible for seller protection even though it was a loan and not a sale:

"What are the eligibility requirements for PayPal seller protection?

You must meet all of these requirements to be covered:

  1. The item purchased must be a physical, tangible good.
  2. The transaction must be marked by PayPal as eligible or partially eligible for PayPal seller protection on your Account “Transaction Details” page. If it is marked eligible, protection for both Unauthorised Payments and Item Not Received will apply. If it is marked partially eligible, protection for only Item Not Received will apply.
  3. Post the item to the shipping address on the “Transaction Details” page. If the item is delivered in person or if the Payment Recipient posts the item to a different address (for example, if the buyer asks that you send to another address on the basis that it is a “work address” or a “gift” address) then you will not be eligible for re-imbursement under the terms of the programme."
"11.10 What are examples of items/transactions/cases that are not eligible for PayPal seller protection?

  1. Intangible items, licenses for digital content, and services.
  2. Items that you deliver (or are picked up) in person (except for items for which you received payment through the PayPal Location Based Payments Functionality).
  3. Transactions made through Zong, Website Payment Pro (PayPal Direct Payment and Virtual Terminal).
  4. Claims, Chargebacks and Reversals for Significantly Not as Described and/ or claims filed directly with eBay.
  5. PayPal Business Payments."
