Back from 2014

Hey guys, this is Deractus. Not sure if anyone that was there at that time is still around. I have some maps that were paid commission by Hydraxus and may be interested in starting my server owning days again. I am so lost because of all of the changes, don't know if servers still run bukkit or spigot. I don't even know if my old but beautiful maps are still compatible.
Questions I have:
Is minecraft dying?
Did the EULA really coming into effect cause servers to die out like it did mine back then?
Is Skype still a thing?
Does anyone remember me?

I used to own fusepvp with superchache39 who was a big minecraft youtuber back then. Anyways glad to know this site is still up

Is minecraft dying? No, it is surging in popularity again. It's more relevant than Fortnite.
Did the EULA really coming into effect cause servers to die out like it did mine back then? No, I swear that was just taunting a few large servers. There are so many P2W servers right now.
Is Skype still a thing? Yeah, but considering how much I used to use it and how I have over 600 contacts and they're all inactive, I'd say it's dead. Discord = #1.
Does anyone remember me? Never even met.

The old PvP/HCF/Factions community is dying, but normal Minecraft is more popular now, e. g. SMPs.

Is minecraft dying? Not anymore. It's bigger than Fortnite (viewer statistics) at the moment.
Did the EULA really coming into effect cause servers to die out like it did mine back then? Nope. It takes 10 minutes to unblacklist your server if your server even gets blacklisted, most big p2w servers with over 1k players are blacklisted.

Vanity and other power house faction networks killed the game

Oh that sucks... Could someone add me just so that I can setup a quick test server with my old files? It can be local host I just don't even have an idea of ho/what version etc. Is there a server owners discord? If so I would love to be added and work from there. The huge skype server owners chats I used to be in helped with everything.

Looking to upload my files onto a local server, at the least the maps (plugins are years outdated and probably useless) My files are all from 1.8 update a LONG time ago. I have tons of high quality graphics builds and logos still worth around $10,000 total.
