Recently ive been gaming and working at my desk for long hours during the day. It’s the third day that ive been on this schedule (around 7-8 hours a day). Yesterday and today i noticed my neck and upper back area was in a bit of pain. Not sure what I can do about this. Ive been doing a few stretches periodically throughout the day. Any advice on additional things I can do?

Obviously, I'm not an expert, but I'd maybe take a bit of a break and try laying down often. I had this problem before and just easing off a bit from sitting at my desk all day made it better. If it gets really bad, I'd talk to a professional though. Let me know if it helps. :)

It's most likely that your slouching abit without realising, you could buy back straps that help prevent slouching. Also as Liam says take breaks.

invest in a back brace or learn to fix your posture while sitting, not sure if you slouch or not but you should stop

I had these exact same problems before and was starting to get sick of it so I invested a fair bit of money into a chair that moulds to your back and stops you from slouching. Best money I have ever spent!

Invest in a gaming chair, I’d also recommend walking around for a couple minutes every hour.

I would say to buy a new chair like a really nice gaming chair that will help your back and make sure it has a neck rest. Fix your posture if it is broken and make sure to drink a lot of water because that can help with sore muscles. You could think about investing in a ball chair like this (Click Like This)
Have a good one
