Hello,

So as I have stated in my absence thread I will be making some car modification threads.

So recently I got a 2nd job, for my 2nd job all my paychecks are going towards my mods. The first performance modification I got for my car was a Bama Performance Tuner.

What is a tuner?

What a tuner is, it takes away your stock computer and turns it into Racing mode. As if it was a race car. It’s like injecting steroids into your car pretty much.

What stock companies have to do by law is make the computers of the car say “save fuel” “protect whoever drives the car in an accident” and with a tuner it eliminates those and throws 20+ horse power and 18 Foot pounds of torque to the car.

Here are some pictures when installing it to my OBD2 Scanner.

Whenever you add other Performance mods to your car you must update your tune. Meaning updating the computer of your car letting it know “hey there is something else that will add power gains to the car this tune will support its gains”

Next modification will be a cold air intake along with a BBK Throttle Body and throttle body spacer.

I just drove the car today with a tuner and there is a massive improvement when shifting gears along with power. The car really pushes you back on your seat.

The car now requires Premium gas instead of Plus just from this modification.

He could be referring to an EV car, but damn that's a sick mod. Already hyped to see your next post w/ the cold air intake. My friend had a mustang and was modding it pretty heavy, but things got pretty bad when he had low tire pressure and was going on the freeway ramp. The tire pierced through and spun him out of control, completely totaled the beautiful mustang. Be sure to keep your tire pressure at a good state!

Ah well, sometimes idk sarcasm from people’s posts or not.

But yes thank you ^.^ I did run into a mechanical issue though. Seems when I accelerate the car has a weird rattling noise.

I think I know what it might be. The belt on the pullies seems to be very worn out and it’s like close to snap. And the pullies are very rusty and old so I think it’s one of the pullies that’s gone bad.

Hopefully it’s not the altanator or water pump pullies. The next mod may take longer until I figure out that small problem first. In the meantime I’ll get some window tint or louvers on the side of the windows I’ll keep you updated.

Seems like a great first mod to do! Definitely will come in handy when you add other performance parts. I will always recommend a short shifter, not sure if that was in your future mods.

To be honest, the shifting rn isn’t so bad. A short throw may definitely come around but for some reason it’s not on my mods list anytime soon.

The throw in the shifts for my mustang rn isn’t so bad. Plus with the tuner the shifts rn are amazing. In 1st gear the car really takes off.

Might get a better clutch though. I don’t know if you’ve ever driven stick on a mustang but their clutch is stiff asf because of the amount of horse power.

I saved my money since I was 15. I’ve always wanted a Mustang. As soon as I turned 16 I finally got my license my mom gave me her 2001 Ford Winstat mini van since it had 200k miles and was falling apart. I sold it, leased an Audi. Gave the Audi away and bought the mustang with my saved cash along with 2 jobs.
