So many attempt to sell their Vape Client credentials.. when it violates their T.O.S, The accounts usually don't end up working since it will block the use of changing your HWID and IP. I have seen count less post on the Vape discord about people buying their Vape account off others and not being able to change their IP or HWID. They end up getting cloned by everyone either on the forums or their discord. I know some people manage to get away with it and some don't.

What are your opinions?

Their TOS doesnt really matter.

I mean, people sell netflix accounts, thats against their TOS.
People sell steam accounts, and thats against their TOS too.
We even have a full section dedicated to selling Minecraft accounts, which is against Mojangs EULA (TOS).

Therefore the TOS doesn't really matter to MCM. That been said if you buy a build say, and break the sellers TOS, that can result in a scam report, then ban. Which is a bit strange. MCM seems to have a somewhat selective morality around the breach of TOS. Sometimes its okay, sometimes its not.

If they are sold an account and they cannot use it, through no fault of their own. Then the seller usually has to refund the buyer anyway.

We still respect the TOS of users within our community. We don't allow for people to resell Premium Spigot plugins, so why would we allow for people to resell someone elses hard work like that? Just seems a little bit unfair to the creators of it, especially considering they're in the same community as we are.

I know that it's difficult of where to draw the line, as half of the stuff on this site does break another sites TOS, but I just thought that we should respect Vape.gg's TOS.

I do agree with what you said about vape. However im interested to know.

Minecraft is what this forum is built around and is part of this community more than anything. However its fine for their TOS to be broken here. What makes Vape diffrent from mojang? Is it just that Mojangs a bigger company? If Vape became a huge client 100,000's were using. Would it then make it okay? Its still mojangs work, they spent millions on developing it.

If someone who works for Mojang made an account and proved that they did work for Mojang. Then opened a number of scam reports on members, because they are selling accounts which is agaisnt their TOS, what would happen? Would the members be banned / warned for doing so, even though MCM says its okay to sell them? Would the scam reports just be closed, even though they are completely valid? Which would undermine the whole point of scam reports.

Same could be said for netflix. Even more so, since people cracking and selling netflix accounts. (Which lets be honest, most of them are cracked. If you could legit get a year pass for $2, people would buy them directly from netflix (Same with most semi OG MC accounts. Who would buy a MC account from Mojang to sell it for $5.)) They create more work for the Netflix staff team, and use bandwidth they have to pay for. And what about the person that was scammed out of their account? They paid for that account. Yet no one really minds here. Unless the person that owned the account, somehow managed to track where its been sold and opened a scam report. Then that user would be banned / warned for trying to sell it.

Steam games / accounts too... (Selling game developers work. The statment "Just seems a little bit unfair to the creators of it" couldn't be more true.) Xenforo licences too?

So really, MC-Market works in the way that it doesn't mind people breaking peoples / companies TOS, cracking peoples accounts, etc. As long as the person doesn't find out where someone is selling their account. Its all good.

Anyway i'll stop there. The more I think about it, lesser the gap becomes between MCM and LF. Make the dark theme default, darken the blues and add a scammer database and we're almost there.

Nothing can really be done. Without stopping the sale of several items. Therefore im not saying this should be stopped, or anything be done about it. Selling Cracked accounts and ignoring companies TOS hasnt really caused many problems. Its just made the forum bigger. So im happy to ignore all that above. Just as you will, just as the next person will. I just find MC-Markets morality quite strange and contradictory.

The main reason why I would agree with this suggestion is if I interpreted it correctly and the majority of resold credentials doesn't work. That would effectively make it a scam.
I agree that a lot of activity on this site breaks a ToS somewhere. I've never been in support of selling any sort of accounts, cracked or not, but it's half of this site's life. So until I've found a better source of income I'll just have to watch the accounts being sold and not do a thing about it.

This should be implemented not to respect the TOS of Vape.gg, but to simply protect the users of MCM.

I have spoken to the owner (or staff?) of Vape.GG and they have made the same request. I will move this thread to pending until I can fully work out how to implement a change like this.

Thanks for the suggestion.

We have disallowed the sale of Vape clients for quite a while now. We have recently created a new wiki article outlining a list of forbidden products and services (https://www.mc-market.org/wiki/forbidden-products-and-services/) and have clarified that "Hack/Ghost clients or client access" is not allowed on MC-Market, which of course includes Vape.

If you see anyone selling this product on MCM please report the content and our moderators will remove it.

I'll move this to accepted, thanks for the suggestion
