nig, niq, niqqer, nigg, niqq, etc. they are all considered the same thing, and none of them are acceptable for conversational use in shoutbox, especially, especially when you are referring to someone using one of them.
When Baum asked you to stop, you should have stopped. He could have kicked you right then, but gave you a verbal warning instead so that you were aware that it wouldn't be acceptable, yet you decided to argue over it and continue to use the word. So you were kicked.
There's no reason for Baum to be banned. You need to just listen when someone with a staff color asks you to stop doing something.
