Banning the sale of Hypixel SB Items

So I think Hypixel SB Items should not be allowed for sale, following there TOS it would be breaking the TOS to sell any Hypixel SB Items for PayPal/Bitcoin/Cash. It's also a very big market, which is encouraging more day by day to start up their own shops. People are even selling methods on how to get "COINS" fast. I do not believe for one second there is a 'private' coin making method that is better than any public one. I also doubt these 'methods' have any uniqueness/creativity around them, which is basically selling leaked/stolen services.

The market is weird and I myself was caught in a pickle where the Item disappeared while I was middle manning the deal. I ended up losing $35 (about $20 as friends helped). I am not creating this because of that but because the market is sketchy and there has been an apparent past to items disappearing while transferring through the player to player to player multiple times.

Everything is wrong with it, disappearing items, scams, and most importantly.. it’s just shouldn’t happen here. You don’t realize how bad this market could turn out in the future obviously.

I've never had any issues with items disappearing, nor have I heard of this happening before. Are you sure this is a common thing?

Scamming will always be a problem, whether it's virtual goods or not. Yes it's more common with virtual goods, but I don't think that constitutes a ban of selling virtual goods. You just have to be more careful.

I'm a seller though, so I'm obviously going to be biased here.

so, when are they removing the sale of minecraft accounts? what about the sale of instagrams? twitters? remember they are all against the company’s ToS too.

Myself and my friends have been playing skyblock since the release in June and this has NEVER happened to any of us. Your mention of this leads me to believe that the only reason you made this thread is because you’re salty that you lost money.
After reading through the rest of the thread, I’m CERTAIN it’s based on salt. The only argument I’ve seen Reinsure make is that “the market is mad weird”, stop being a salty clown.

I would also like to note: I’m not even a seller, in fact I’d say that I’m AGAINST skyblock sales because it ruins the game for legitimate players who gain their items and coins legit. This doesn’t mean you should try and get their market removed for your own selfish reasons, though.

As a seller myself, I should mention that the market isn't sketchy if you deal with reputable people, as I believe that if you dealt with someone reputable, like BigHole or Terminated you wouldn't get scammed. It's breaking the Hypixel ToS but also is account selling ('To protect the users of this network, we also do NOT allow the sale (or advertising of) Minecraft accounts on the Hypixel Network or Forums. This is because selling Minecraft accounts is a commonly used avenue for scammers. Not allowing these sales is the best way for us to protect the users of our network.') even more that we have a section called "Ranked" where we can sell ranked accounts (Mostly Hypixel Ranked).

I don't play Hypixel Skyblock, and I most likely won't ever due to me hating Skyblock in general, but even I can see how idiotic this idea seems. Driving people away from the market isn't what this site needs at the current moment, with Minecraft accounts possibly being banned from being sold.

How about instead of just flat out banning the sale of Hypixel items, MCM re-works some rules that are directed at the sale of Hypixel items? Bam, probably solved.

Coin Making Methods are not banned!!

I know that some people are selling what you call methods. The difficulty is that there is a difference between a "method" and a program/software that provides you with an advantage in doing a particular task. For instance I have seen scripts being sold. These are not methods. The reason that they aren't methods is that hard work has gone into making something from scratch in the few cases of this that I have found making it essentially a resource. Methods that are banned are banned because knowledge alone should not be given a price from what ive heard justis say.
