Basic Network Information
Basic is an in-development player versus player competitive network based around providing an optimal hardcore factions experience for players. The Basic Network is expecting an above ordinary release with a few hundred players for our 'Start Of The World' and expect to flourish in the community for years to come. The last statement is a rough estimate as there are multitude of variables that factor in so determining an exact amount is not possible.
"Pay 2 Win"
We are not in favor of "pay to win" items and mentalities and we are not going to implement them into our network. Thankfully, with the release of Lunar, the standard of receiving your entire setup within minutes is no longer plausible. While some view their release to be pessimistic, as they will take most players, we view it as a beautiful event where networks can now succeed without having to provide moronic items in their stores. While yes, there will be crates & lives to maintain a stable economy, the crates are strictly limited to our "Minor" Hardcore Factions server which has zero F-Top rewards. Deathban timings are back to the normal two hour mark for default while our highest donor rank "Elite" will receive a 45 minute deathban. Lives are available on "Main" but are limited with the only options of purchase being 2, 5, and 10 in addition to their rather high price tags. Furthermore, ranks do not receive a high amount of lives per their rank, for example our highest rank "Elite" receives only 5 per map, which are 21 days long.
We have crates for a simple reason, economy. While we wish we were able to rely solely off of ranks to generate a revenue stream as Lunar is able to do, we cannot. We do not have a community backing us for years nor do we have tens of thousands of dollars to keep in fail-safe revenue in case the network lacks purchases as Lunar does.
Therefore, we had to unfortunately include the keys to provide a stabilization factor to our network. However, they are strictly limited to our "Minor" Hardcore Factions server and not "Main".
Do not worry, we constantly read your opinions, no matter how toxic, and understand a vast amount are not in favor. Therefore, these keys will not be permanent, they will be removed and replaced with more cosmetic-based purchases at a future date. In addition, these crate perks in the ranks being purchased will be compensated for once removed.
We hope you are able to understand as to why we had to keep them for the beginning and know that they are to be removed once we have the aforementioned economic stability.
"Toxicity"
At the Basic Network we pay close attention to the advice of other server owners. One server owner specifically "prplz" struck a spot in our heart and his advice will be utilized to the fullest extent. In prplz's Q&A, he was asked "If you were to change one thing about Kohi, what would it have been"? To this he responded with explanations on how toxicity would have been highly punishable to limit the pessimistic aspects and the constant complaining. Earlier in the Q&A he claimed that the toxicity was a major factor into why the Kohi Network was given to Badlion and we admire his knowledge and can only hope to achieve what he and Ritsukame achieved. As a result, we are going to take heed to this statement and implement a strict policy against toxicity, even with the chat filter.
"Cheating"
Nobody likes cheaters, period. Our current anticheat is quite efficient and will protect the network against a vast majority of ghost clients etc however we desire something better. Post map one, we are to apply for positions with the Badlion client-based anticheat so we can utilize their technology to eliminate cheating, alting, toxicity, and vpn's from our network entirely to provide this harmonious experience that is claimed.
Furthermore, in total there will be a multitude of game mode variations that players are able to play including Two Hardcore Factions servers (Main & Minor) & Kits with more in alpha development to be released depending on the upcoming polls to which you, the player, can decide on which to implement first. Therefore, staff is required to maintain such a network and regrettably the current team is rather small that is consistently looking for expansion in the community.

We own a vast multitude of other differing builds, plugins, and efficient combat systems however we do not want to spoil everything.
These builds should hopefully grant you a partial insight into our desires to have an appealing network: one comprised of patience and notice to small details.
Who is Basic?
Basic is a unit of long standing, dedicated, and analytical Hardcore Factions players that have been actively involved in the community for nearly four years since the conception of Shotbow and the development of Basic, having worked with massive big-name Hardcore Factions networks as a part of their staff team or played extensively on them.
These networks have therefore given us an insight in community relations and we appreciate each networks efforts. We are going to utilize a differing practice from each network, as each offers something positive to the community that when combined results in harmony, to have a completely balanced network, whether it be how they manage staff or develop their network. This being stated, we continue to partake in this community and attempt to further its developmental process not for the title but rather to see it prosper.
At Basic, we comprehend the importance of the active involvement with the community to assist in furthering the completion of solidifying Hardcore Factions as the game mode for the player versus player community as a genre of Minecraft game modes.
All of us, staff or not, are the face of the community. We are with whom people speak and see, this means that what you do has an impact on the server. We have a responsibility to both the server and our community.
What is Basic Looking For?
Basic is seeking experienced staff members with a multitude of previous experiences and demonstrations of maturity to fill the following roles:
⦁ Administrator [Two Contracts, State ID, 18 YoA+]
⦁ Moderator
⦁ Helper
Administrator
Administrators are back-end in terms of their utilization in the game itself. Admins are provided with access to confidential network information regarding updates and future expansions hence why they are to sign two contracts with ID as well as be 18+ years of age. To become an admin on this network you must show levels of knowledge in either building/terraforming, coding, management, clients/checks/anticheats, or system administration.
Admins are the circuitry to our network and it is a limited position of which is rarely distributed unless you show competency in the aforementioned aspects. However, we seek creativity, devotion, willingness to learn, and imagination in our prospects to this position. While someone may be efficient at Java & PHP, can that person develop unique ways to implement their systems or create new gamemodes that will expand this network into something greater? These are the aspects that are sought after in administrators and we only accept quality over quantity.
Mod | Helper
While admins are the circuitry to the network, these staff positions are the infrastructure. The roles of helpers to moderators are to keep the network in order. These positions are the one that will assist the player with the vast majority of in-game tasks as well as punish those who fail to oblige to the rules and regulations stated. These two roles are what the player will mainly see and learn from, they are the face of the network and are what stabilizes the network into something positive.
Note No.1 ( Where to apply & format information )
If you are interested in applying for a staff role, please read through the staff application rules and formats on the Forms carefully on where to apply and the requirements of the applications.
Here is the link to apply:
Note No.2 ( What determines the rank you receive )
The role you are granted will be determined based on the level of quality of your application. If you apply with a half written application utilizing no effort, the roles granted or not granted will reflect that. On the contrary however, if your application shows high levels of effort with vast phases of maturity you will be granted a higher staff role.
Note No.3 ( When will you be able to utilize the rank & release times )
There is no set release date as of yet however we are nearing the end of development and are making slight changes to our core. Therefore, you will be waiting for that time span until the official release which will be announced on our Twitter & Discord. We apologize however we go by the saying "quality over quantity", and want the network to be the best it can be.
Sincerely,
Tyleronmars, Administrator @ Basic PvP Network
