This has happened multiple times to me already...

I buy a resource
Dev is too lazy to fix a minor bug, loses motivation, too busy, etc. so they delete the resource
I paid for the resource but now cannot download it...

Deleted resources (perhaps only premium resources) should still have an option to download as well as all previous updates and files to all purchasers. Simply make it clear that the resource is removed and is no longer supported.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

The resources are still the owner's product. They should have control over whether or not they are distributing it.
It would be wrong for us to distribute their content without their will, no different from a leak forum.

If you purchase a product, keep track of the file. Sometimes it's not the author that deletes it, sometimes it's the moderation team because the resource violates a rule, or ownership changed, or we're otherwise required to.

Same deal as if you were purchasing a product from a user manually. There's no guarantee they will always be online to send it to you again, so if you pay for something, when you get it, keep track of it. Just like any other data that matters to you.

I don't care that much, this is just a suggestion so up to you,

but you're not leaking it. If I upload a resource here and someone buys it, they have full rights to the use of that plugin because I literally sold them usage rights to it. It doesn't matter if I don't want someone to have the resource anymore (unless its a free resource) because by me listing the resource up, I am agreeing to make my resource available to anyone willing to pay for it. The same goes with any program. If someone buys Office 2017 and so Microsoft gives their account a license to it, they can't just revoke the license later on because they don't want the purchaser to have the resource anymore. Its not like Microsoft is required to update or maintain the program, but they can't just revoke their license either.

Again, this is purely a suggestion and is completely up to you guys. I don't really care which way this goes.

You're right about not being able to simply revoke the license, unless that was part of the agreement between the buyer and seller.
However, removing a distribution channel and revoking a license are two completely different things.
You would still be able to use the program you paid for, (per the license agreement), but Microsoft isn't forced to provide the download to their program on the same site at the same location, and neither are the sellers in our resources.
Once they've given you a copy of the product, their responsibilities are fulfilled, it is then your responsibility not to trash can the program you paid for a license to use, because there is never a guarantee it will always be available for another download.
I stand by my previous statements.

Honestly, who buys something and then fails to download it and back it up somewhere?
I still have clients that come to me for products I made for them up to a year back. Luckily for them I often keep my smaller products for that long, but projects more than a gigabyte in size usually get removed within a few months.
For resources this is slightly different, but there might be reason to remove the product. And it is up to them to do so. If you still want to download it, contact the seller. If they refuse, you could even attempt opening a scam report on them. But letting people download deleted resources? No. It's the seller's right to remove a product. If they revoke your license specifically for no good reason, it's a scam, but removing the resource in its entirety is a right. Not notifying people of this beforehand is bad manners, but no more.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
