Clearly the staff are rly autistic between what an advertisement and a message is, so they think people advertise "multiple" times within 15 minutes; so you might as well just chat once every fifteen minutes.

How can you even see when you advertise if you're fucking message is flooded all the way up to where only the staff can see when because they have chat logs.

If someone replies, "just look at the time"; no I'm not gonna look at a shitting clock every single time I advertise and get a headache for memorizing what time I posted an advertisement at.

I have already upped the limit for the maximum messages you can see. If you leave the chat open you can see much further up in the chat. This goes away when you reload the page.

Yes because the sites reaching more users. More people are donating, more people are chatting. And the rule of not advertising more then 15 min does not allow me to see my last 15 minute message. Then I get blamed for it by a staff because they have chat logs and I don't. So how the hell am I able to enforce the rules when I can't see my last 15 minute message.

If you want to be a stickler in doing this, you could just set a 15 minute timer on google for yourself and wait till its up to post again. /shrug Otherwise Idk how easy this is to implement, maybe its easier than I think it is?

Yea because I'm going to spend my time opening another tab and setting a 15 min watch. What if I forget? I'm too busy selling and responding the threads and pms I don't have time with all that crap. The development on this site is very poorly made and a lot of things needs updating. I always sit back in the room keeping quite and let mick deal with all the children's complaining but this really did annoy me and I'm not going to rant about it. I'm going to simply tell him the issue. Tell him what he should do and fix the issue. And start updating shit because a whole lot is outdated.

This just got me furious. And this is why I rarely use shoutbox. From annoying 11 year old children and from a poor development because I've seen better and more efficient shout boxes in competitive sites.

For us to change the amount of time it's just a matter of changing the settings for the chat.

All competitors either use Chat by Siropu or TaigaChat, which is inferior in practically every way. How is our chat worse than competitors? I'd love to know.

I mean, Siropu is pretty cheap; it's only $30.00 which is a good investment to save the chaos and for users to follow the rules better. Taiga Chat is $25.00 which has the options remibarna was talking about but I honestly don't know anything about those Chat plugins.

Problem is we don't want those options. Mick discussed on him not wanting the images and italic and bold it makes chat messy. Which may be true and this was not even the suggestion on the top of it. But it did allow the chat to be a lot wider cause I've seen it happen on competitors.

Mick is considering the purpose of this suggestion since he didn't automatically deny it amirite

Let's see how many people agree with this and Mick can see what the community wants ratio wise

My 2 cents on this:

When I advertise in the shoutbox, I send a message, literally type into google "set a timer for 15 minutes" and wait until it lets me know that the timer is up. When the timer is up, I only literally have to click 2 buttons. Reset -> Start. Get a grip, you don't need to scroll up to see your last message when you're at least a bit competent. Take a bit more time, write an AutoHotkey script to run a timer for you when you press a single button and notify you when it's over.

If you're really so busy selling that you don't have time to switch tabs when a timer notifies you, you've already failed to make your workflow more efficient and should look into that.

As much as I like to disagree with the decisions made by staff on mcm, this is one that I really can't see as a necessity.
