It has come to my attention that so many people use insecure passwords and often use the same password for multiple sites. This is a very bad practice and should be avoided.

Personally, I use a unique, 15-20 character password for every site or service I signup for.
If you don't want a completely randomly generated password and would like it to be easily memorable, choose 3-4 random words with a space in between each one and use that entire string as a password.

For those on a budget, KeePass is a completely FREE app for password management!

Don't use DashLane, it syncs online. So if they get hacked so do you.

A lot of the password managers that have online sync, also have a feature where you can disable the sync feature. And some of them sync data to your personal Dropbox or whatever, so it never touches Dashlane's server.[DOUBLEPOST=1466908368][/DOUBLEPOST]

Umm I named some of the most secure password manager apps on the planet that have been around for years!

That's a lot harder than simply keylogging someone though. A hacker will always get in if they want to badly enough, it's just about how difficult it is for them to do so, and if it's worth it.

I think it's a great idea. And this is very nice to share with the community but in my opinion. I'll always be sticking with the same passwords on any site / account. And nobody will ever know. It's all in my head. And I am just too lazy to use that site to remember it all. Especially when I am in a rush for something important.
The main risk is that once one of those sites gets breached, whoever has access to that breach can log into all your other accounts.
I also reuse passwords, but only on sites where I honestly don't care.

I see. I didn't think of it that way. That's interesting.
I've made internet security somewhat of a hobby and thus I see how many websites get their password database stolen.
Which in way too many cases is in plain text or the most basic encryption.

"Don't use passwords you can remember and only you know, store them all in one place where you're super vulnerable instead!" That's what I got out of this
